Testing time!

Testing time is here again.   The PARCC test,better known as the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers,  is firing up again.   Most educators would have to think about what the acronym stands for.  Pearson the designer of the test is a huge conglomeration make gazillions of dollars.   The conglomerate writes the test, the remedial materials, the manuals, the training, and everything necessary for seventeen states.   Thousands of teachers and students are now subjected to the common core from the Feds!

What exactly is common core?   The common core is a one size fits all approach to education.   It is a politically correct view that the government wishes to force down the throats of students across the country making all students fit into a neat little box.   Instead of teaching what students really need (ie reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as some history, geography, and science), students are fed a steady diet of garbage worse than a Michelle Obama lunch.   For example students listen to speeches from Bill Clinton and Governor George Bush about how their government programs "improved" America.   Clinton programs included gun control and federal aid to churches to run federal programs.  Then Bush brought more standardized testing and NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND!

As a Conservative (rare in educators!!!) this is difficult to digest.  It is a lie to teach children that these so called improvement made any difference.  Clinton's programs have done nothing to stem violence which has only increased.   Bush's programs are graduating kids who can neither read or do basic math.  Yet students are learning the politically correct rubbish that is the PROGRESSIVE agenda.
