Not a PARCC you would take your kids to visit!

This article is from the Washington Post.  I found it intriguing that students at all levels including third graders are experiencing the frustration my freshmen are going through.   These teachers exposed more of the actual test than anything revealed to me.   The instructions in this district were not to look at the test or to disclose any information.   All teachers, staff, and students were required to sign a confidentiality agreement.  Evaluations are bound to an exam that teachers are forbidden to view.

New Mexico is in the time schedule as the other PARCC states.  We tested English Language Arts last week and Algebra/Geometry this week.

Why?

Why???  Here I am thirty- three years into this career!  No one listens as I try to instruct.   They ask questions about the legalization of marijuana rather than reading a classic.  They want to know about illicit drugs and if I have ever tried them.  Instead of bettering themselves to become productive members of society, they want to avoid responsibility at any cost even their own futures. Most of them know that society will give them FREE healthcare, food, shelter, and now even a phone.  Working people are mostly out numbered.
